When HBO’s The Wire was originally broadcast in 2002, it was the most anticipated show of the decade.
But the show has yet to return, and the final season is set to premiere at the end of this month.
While the show’s creators have promised more episodes, fans will have to wait a bit longer for answers.
“It’s like a dream come true,” said one person who watched the first season of The Wire.
“But we’re going to have to make sure we keep it up.”
“I know I’ll be a little nervous,” said another.
“I’m so excited for it.”
For fans of the series, the premiere will bring a new level of excitement.
The first season was originally slated to air in 2019, but it’s unclear whether HBO will air a second season at this time.
Fans can expect to see the first four episodes of the new show at the AMC Cinemas in Culver City, California, on July 21.
This is not the first time HBO has brought back The Wire to theaters.
In 2013, HBO returned to theaters with the first of three seasons of the show, which was later picked up for a second year.
However, HBO has been reluctant to bring The Wire back to theaters, even with its recent deal with Universal.
Now that the series has been brought back, HBO hopes to see more episodes.
“It feels like it’s coming back and we can finally give people something they’ve been waiting for,” said co-creator David Simon.
If The Wire returns, HBO will likely air new episodes every other week.
